Sad decline of town

Soulless place

I so agree with this statement so so sad ! Remembering the coaches that came into Dewsbury on market days; the bargains, the bustle and excitement that came with it.

If that atmosphere could have been bottled and taken to council and planning meetings how different could it be?

Instead we are reminiscing to our younger generation how exciting it was and how it was the place to be – not just shopping-wise but entertainment-wise.

Having worked and lived in Dewsbury for 50 years and done my courting here, it brings tears to my eyes to see the decline of what was a thriving popular town to visit.
