East Bierley face a crucial clash in their battle against relegation from Bradford League Division One at bottom side Yeadon tomorrow.
Bierley scrambled out of the bottom two despite suffering a 142-run defeat to Bradford and Bingley last week.
The five bonus points Bierley managed to collect, which came thanks to Luke Jarvis’s magnificent bowling spell of 7-81, was enough to see them creep a point above Morley.
Yeadon are bottom but can haul themselves above East Bierley and really shake things up at the bottom if they gain a handsome win.
Bierley’s trip to Morley on August 15 is also heading towards a crunch game in the fight against relegation.
Morley face a tough trip to treble-chasing Cleckheaton tomorrow as the Moorenders seek to strengthen their grip at the top of the table.
Cleckheaton are 25 points clear of nearest rivals Woodlands as they look to win back-to-back league titles.
Woodlands will look to maintain their challenge with a keen contest at home to New Farnley.
Both Cleckheaton and Woodlands can also look forward to cup final appearances in August.
The Moorenders face Pudsey St Lawrence in what should be a cracking Priestley Cup final at Undercliffe on Sunday August 24, while Woodlands edged through to a first Twenty20 cup final appearance with victory over Hanging Heaton on Tuesday.
They face the winners of last night’s semi between Pudsey Congs and Undercliffe on Thursday August 14 at Bradford and Bingley.
There is a keen derby clash at Gomersal tomorrow when Hartshead Moor are the visitors, while Spen Victoria entertain Great Horton before hosting the Heavy Woollen Cup final on Sunday (noon).
