The entire Premier Division programme fell victim to the weather with Palestino remaining top of the table, four points clear of Dewsbury West Side’s first team with a game in hand.

Palestino will look to stretch their unbeaten run to eight matches on Saturday when they host Savile United.

Lower Hopton earned a 2-1 derby win away to local rivals Overthorpe Sports in the only West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division game to survive last Saturday.

Nicki Croisdale’s first half goal saw lowly Overthorpe go in 1-1 at half-time but Hopton secured all three points thanks to strikes from Matthew Bugg and Nathan Alexander.

Hopton move up to fifth place, three points behind second placed Littletown, having played a game more.

Littletown remain four points behind leaders Golcar United with four games still in hand.

It was a good day for Lower Hopton as their Reserve side earned an impressive 10-1 win over Tyersal Reserves in the battle of the bottom two sides in Division Two.

Dale Hanson bagged four goals, while Bobby Evans, Paul Milligan and Craig Beggs were also among the Hopton scorers.

Claude Dawkins and Kieran Senior were on target for Littletown Reserves but they suffered a 5-2 defeat away to Salts Reserves and remain fifth in Division Two.

Crown Gawthorpe and Crackenedge continue to lead the way at the top of the Wakefield League Premier Division.

Crown won 4-0 away to Crofton Sports, while Crackenedge remain level on 25 points after a 2-1 win over Prince of Wales but Real Moor are the biggest threat, eight points behind with a host of games in hand on the top two.

Old Batelians secured an impressive 3-0 derby win away to Dewsbury Rangers in Yorkshire Amateur League Division One last Saturday.

Jermaine Moyce put the visitors ahead and Luke Adams doubled their advantage with a 39th minute penalty.

The second half was even matched until Robert Johnson struck Batelians’ third goal eight minutes from full-time to secure the derby spoils.

Victory leaves Batelians sixth in the table, with Rangers back in ninth, 10 points clear of second-bottom Rothwell.
