Huddersfield Town U21s eased to a 4-1 Professional Development League 2 win over their counterparts from Sheffield Wednesday at the John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon, Tuesday.

Wakefield midfielder Duane Holmes was once again named in the Terriers’ young team but his team fell behind to Franck Betra’s goal on four minutes.

Cristian Lopez levelled on the half-hour but it was a three-goal flurry in the second period that won it for Town.

Lopez bagged his second on 58 minutes and the Owls were stunned by two goals in four minutes from Daniel Carr.

Town’s U21s will face Sheffield Wednesday again in the Premier League Cup second qualifying round next month.
