Liversedge FC boss Eric Gilchrist is pleased with “his work in progress”.
The Clayborners’ coach was speaking on the eve of their FA Cup home tie with West Auckland Town on Saturday (3pm).
He was pleased with his team’s two from two start in the Northern Counties East Premier League campaign, with wins over Lincoln Moorlands and Maltby Main.
But he said: “We’re not the finished article. I can’t fault them so far. They have worked hard in pre-season but they are like a work in progress.”
Gilchrist has watched a tape of his opponents’ FA Vase final 2-0 defeat by Dunston at Wembley last season. He sums them up as a big, strong side who favour the direct route.
He added: “It would be massive if we manage to turn them over on Saturday.”
