Gomersal become the latest side to attempt to topple Allrounder Bradford League Championship B leaders Townville on Saturday.

The former Central Yorkshire League big guns have set down firm intentions to become a Premier League club next season by winning all 10 matches so far.

Even the bad weather has yet to thwart Townville’s march towards to the top flight and the Castleford side are already 53 points clear at the top as the season reaches halfway this weekend.

Gomersal are not without hope as they lie fourth and although some 65 points adrift of the runaway leaders, they will target victory at Oxford Road.

Hartshead Moor will be bottom of Championship B at the midway point as they are 26 points adrift of Brighouse and face a tough trip to Methley on Saturday.

Spen Victoria have had a mixed first half to the campaign, winning four and losing six matches, and they entertain Altofts, who are just one place above them in the table.

Liversedge lie seventh in Championship A and reach halfway with a home game against fellow mid-table side Ossett.

Cleckheaton and East Bierley will be anxiously looking over their shoulders as they are just 12 points clear of the Premier Division relegation zone.

Cleckheaton have not won in their last five matches but will look to end that run away to Lightcliffe.

East Bierley have picked up form lately and were well set having reduced Cleckheaton to 135-6 before rain saw last week’s derby abandoned.

Bierley will look to further boost their survival hopes when they host second-bottom Morley, while bottom side Scholes face a tough derby when they make the short trip to Woodlands.
