HARTSHEAD MOOR are setting their sights on a tilt at double glory as they aim to end a barren spell without silverware.

The Highmoor Lane club are enjoying their best season in many a year, riding high unbeaten at the top of Bradford League Championship Two and through to the Jack Hampshire Cup quarter-finals.

Hartshead strengthened their side in the close season and it is reaping the rewards as they have opened up a 40 point lead on nearest rivals Northowram Fields.

Hartshead will look to extend their terrific run when they entertain bottom side Brighouse on Saturday.

In contrast to Moor’s 10-match winning run in the league, Brighouse have lost all eight of their matches to beat the weather so far.

Liversedge travel to Carlton on the back of a mixed weekend which saw them beat Altofts in the league only to lose to the same opposition in last Sunday’s Jack Hampshire Cup tie.

Spen Victoria host third placed Hunslet Nelson as they look to climb away from second-bottom in the table.
