Hanging Heaton Seconds defeated Spen Victoria on a faster scoring rate to reach the Crowther Cup semi-finals last Sunday.
Umar Rehman claimed 3-6 and fellow spinner Jamie Baulk 3-34 as Heaton dismissed Spen for 157, with George Webster (38) top scoring for the home side.
Heavy rain interrupted Heaton’s reply after 15.3 overs with the visitors slightly ahead on the run rate.
Spen players and officials did a great job in mopping up before the match resumed but a further deluge saw the game abandoned with Heaton 120-2 from 28.2 overs, as Imran Dawood (56) top scored to see the Bennett Lane into the last four.
Moorlands suffered a seven-wicket defeat at home to Skelmanthorpe in their quarter-final last Sunday.
Moorlands were bowled out for 107 as Richard Wimpenny caimed 4-33.
Skelmanthorpe then eased to 108-3 with Liam Fletcher finishing unbeaten on 41no.
New Farnley overcame Buttershaw St Paul’s in the other quarter-final to take place last Sunday.
The remaining last eight tie between Morley and Ossett will be played on Sunday June 22.
Ossett beat Crowther Cup holders Woodlands in a midweek bowl-out.
This means that the Heavy Woollen Cup winners and beaten finalists, along with the Crowther Cup winners and finalists have all lost on bowl-outs this season.
