Heavy Woollen Cup holders Woodlands begin their trophy defence with a trip to Shepley in the first round of the 2016 competition on Sunday April 17.

Woodlands defeated Hoylandswaine in a thrilling final at Ossett last season.

East Bierley, Scholes and Hanging Heaton all face long trips in their first round ties.

Bierley and Scholes face trips to South Yorkshire where they take on competition newcomers Whitley Hall and Treeton respectively, while Hanging Heaton face a trip across the Pennines to face Lancashire-based Huddersfield League side Delph and Dobcross.

Pick of the local ties sees Moorlands entertaining Gomersal, Spen Victoria travel to Townville and Birstall have been drawn away to Buttershaw St Pauls.

Morley have a home tie against Huddersfield League Skelmanthorpe, Ossett make the trip to another new side in the competition, Brook Walton, while Hopton Mills have been handed the only bye of the first round.

Two ECB Premier League clubs will also go head to head as Wakefield Thornes, who have moved to the South Yorkshire Premier League for 2016, take on Bradford Premier League side New Farnley.
