Norristhorpe Reserves earned a 3-1 win over St Bedes Reserves as they moved within three points of Yorkshire Amateur League Division Six leaders Morley Town Thirds.

Lewis Holliday, Brad Wild and Elliott DiMatteo went close early on.

Holliday put Norristhorpe ahead when Bedes failed to clear a free-kick but Lewis Searle curled home the Saints equaliser.

Holliday added his second goal to restore Norristhorpe’s lead before half-time.

Substitute Danny Newman went close with a header before Zach Wood headed home from close range to make it 3-1.

Holliday was denied his hat-trick by a brilliant save from the Bedes goalkeeper, while solid defending from Brad Wild and Luke Robinson ensured Norristhorpe closed the game out.
