JAMES Hurtley picked up two awards at Liversedge FC’s presentation evening last Friday.

Hurtley was named players’ player of the season and the committee’s player of the season. Ben Hardy collected the supporters’ player of the season award while Gaz Saville took the young player trophy.

Liversedge also handed out awards to the Under-19s, who are awaiting on results to see if they will be crowned champions of the Northern Youth Alliance West Division.

Sedge led the table by five points having completed their programme and when title rivals Ossett Town lost to Ossett Albion on Tuesday, it guaranteed the Clayborners at least a second place finish.

Brighouse Town could still pip them to the title with wins in both their remaining games.

Jack Helliwell was the Under-19s player of the season, players’ player went to Rob Bartram, while goalkeeper Danny Knight took the committee’s award.
