Heavy Woollen Sunday League clubs are facing a fixture backlog after the entire programme was postponed for the third consecutive week.

Heavy overnight snow resulted in no matches going ahead and no league fixtures have been played in 2016.

Most clubs have not played since mid-December and it is now inevitable that many will face midweek fixtures towards the end of the season.

Premier Division leaders St John Fisher have still only played six league matches and are still involved in two cup competitions.

They last played a league match on November 8 and still have 12 fixtures to fit in.

Their Heavy Woollen District FA Brook Butler Cup clash against Old Bank WMC fell victim to the weather and has been rearranged for February 21.

Fisher face a Heavy Woollen Challenge Trophy clash away to Heckmondwike Sports this Sunday and are due to play Oakwell Motel in their first league game for almost three months on January 31.

Navigation will attempt to play their Brook Butler clash against Woodkirk Valley on February 21, with the winners away to Clifton Rangers in the quarter-final.

Batley Celtics host Birkenshaw in the last eight, while the winners of AFC Chickenley and Mirfield Town play Savile Arms or Hartshead.
