Liversedge FC build towards new campaign

LIVERSEDGE FC are enjoying a decent pre-season programme under the guidance of new manager Eric Gilchrist.

They Clayborners have enjoyed two wins and also drew with Stocksbridge Park Steels and the build up to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division season continues tomorrow when they entertain Eccleshill United (kick-off 3pm)

Sedge came from behind to beat Otley Town 2-1 in their latest friendly on Tuesday.

Otley took a 28th minute lead but Joe Jagger equalised before half-time and Under-19s player curled home a brilliant winner in the 67th minute.

Sedge drew 1-1 against Stocksbridge last Saturday when Ben Neale equalised with a deflected shot 11 minutes from time, while they defeated Daisy Hill 4-2 last Thursday in a game which saw Gilchrist play a different side in each half.

James Riordan and an own goal but Sedge 2-0 up at half-time but after they made 10 changes, Daisy Hill hit back to equalise only for Jamel Campbell and Jagger to add further goals.
