The appearance of former British light welterweight boxing champion Woodhouse at Clayborn is almost certain to help swell next Tuesday’s crowd.

Liversedge have set an ambitious target of topping the 986 who crammed into Clayborn for a derby against Thackley in the 1940s, although a crowd of over 500 would represent five times the normal Liversedge home attendance.

Liversedge lie top of the NCE League Premier Division, a point clear of Cleethorpes Town after the opening 11 games of the season.

Liversedge pushed EvoStik North One side Farsley Celtic all the way on Tuesday, before being edged out 3-2 in the West Riding County Cup.
