BOXER Josh Warrington was giving a rousing reception as he paraded his English featherweight title belt in front of over 25,000 football fans last Saturday.

Warrington, who trains out of the Central Boxing Club in Batley, is a huge Leeds United fan and was the club’s guest of honour at last Saturday’s game against Middlesbrough.

Fans of both clubs gave Warrington a standing ovation during the half-time interval and the 21-year-old is hoping to defend his title in Leeds early next year.

Warrington watched United come from a goal down to beat Boro 2-1 with Luciano Becchio scoring both Leeds goals.
