Former Heavy Woollen Junior player Tim Bresnan named in England’s one day squad

YORKSHIRE fast bowler Tim Bresnan has been named in England’s One Day International and Twenty20 squads to play Pakistan.

Bresnan played all his junior cricket in the Heavy Woollen District JCL, along with the likes of Richard Pyrah and Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale, before going on to star for Yorkshire and England.

He missed the recent Test series against Pakistan with an elbow injury and his participation in the forthcoming one day and Twenty20 games are subject to ongoing fitness checks.

Without Bresnan, England suffered a 3-0 series whitewash against Pakistan.
