Fellows is joined in the side by Hanging Heaton teammate Tom Chippendale, who is rewarded for his impressive start to the season with a call-up.

Cleckheaton opening bowler Curtis Free and Woodlands batsman Alex Atkinson are the other local players selected in the team who take on Yorkshire as part of Andrew Gale’s benefit year with the county.

Gale is expected to be joined by a number of the county’s most promising young players as the match comes just 24 hours before Yorkshire’s opening Natwest Blast fixture against Leicestershire.

Gale, who has led Yorkshire to two successive County Championship triumphs, stood down as one-day captain in August and is no stranger to Bradford Premier League followers after cutting his cricketing teeth with Cleckheaton.

Bradford League team manager Paul Hutchison also includes the big-hitting overseas duo of Nomal Ali and Suleman Khan.
