Marjorie bids for Champion title
YORKSHIRE county bowler, Marjorie Haigh, is aiming for a champion end to her season having just qualified for the Champion of Champions bowling event at Waterloo, Blackpool.
Qualification for the prestigious event comes as the result of a busy but highly successful month for Marjorie, who lives in Heckmondwike.
Her first major win came in the Hyman Morris Trophy when she finished ahead of a quality field. Victory earned her qualification for the Champions event.
Last Sunday. july 4, Marjorie won the Joyce Winterbottom Trophy at Meltham BC where she again fought off competition from a high quality field of bowlers to clinch the title.
