LIVERSEDGE face a key clash in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division tomorrow when they aim to kick-start the new year with victory over bottom side Lincoln Moorlands (kick off 3pm).
Eric Gilchrist’s men have had a frustrating Christmas period as home and away games against Staveley Miners Welfare were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches, while they went down 2-0 in the Boxing Day derby at high-flying Brighouse Town, although many at the game felt that too should have been called off.
Liversedge go into 2013 lying 14th in the table and they have a good chance of starting with a win as they aim to complete a league double over Moorlands having won 2-0 in Lincoln on the opening day of the season thanks to goals from Kieran Corley and Gibril Bojang.
The NCE have acted swiftly to rearrange games postponed over the festive period.
Liversedge will welcome Staveley to Clayborn on Tuesday January 29, while the return trip is scheduled for Wednesday February 13, both with 7.45pm kick offs.
