Twins back at Moorend
TWINS Marcus and Edward Walmsley have returned to Cleckheaton CC after a season at Bankfoot.
The pair played key roles as Cleckheaton's second team reached the Priestley Shield final in 2008.
They enhanced their reputations by helping Bankfoot's charge to promotion from Bradford League Division Two but have now decided to move back to Moorend.
Marcus was 15th in the Division Two rankings last year, making 654 runs (average 34.42), including an unbeaten 123 against Windhill. He also hit 103 at Bradford & Bingley in the Priestley Cup.
Edward finished 21st in the batting averages with 416 runs (27.73) while his off-spin saw him seventh in the bowling rankings, with 40 wickets (average 14.95).
Cleckheaton are staging a sportsman's dinner on Friday, March 5 (7pm for 7.30pm).
Guest speaker is former Bath and England rugby union star David Trick, the comedian is Blackpool-based Carl Schofield while the MC is Malcolm Scott.

n Hanging Heaton CC have signed opening batsman Harvey Anderson, who started last season at Farsley before moving to CYL side Mirfield Parish Cavaliers.
Heaton are planning several fund-raising events, including a golf day in the summer – anyone interested in entering a team can contact the club.
The cricket section have a family race night on Saturday, January 30, start 7pm. All are welcome and entry is free.
