Sharks U10s shine – tries galore for U9s

Shaw Cross Sharks Under-10s were expecting their toughest game this season at Hunslet Warriors.

The Sharks team produced a great effort against very strong opposition.

Forwards, MoM Harry Webster and special effort award winner Harrison Wilkinson shone in attack driving the ball in fiercely while Elliot Richardson was superb in defence and earned a deserved top tackler award.

Backs Brad Llewellyn, Josh Walker and Robson Sutcliffe had great ideas but testament to the Warriors they were kept quiet. Kobe Poching then worked some magic and sent the ball out wide to Kian Lister who still had a lot to do but managed to score a fine try.

After the break Tyler Butterfield and Jack Audsley Clay linked well to gain valuable yards before Harry Webster crashed onto the ball, evaded several tacklers to score a great try in the corner. The proud coaching staff gave the MoM award to the team.

Shaw Cross Sharks Under-9s played a friendly at Upton and had a great time running in 10 tries.

Kian Dickens ran, passed and tackled with enthusiasm to win MoM and parents’ MoM.

Kieran Smith ran in for his first hat-trick to win magic moment award, while there were two tries each from Jack Burton and Jaden Barraclough.

Other tries were scored by Daniel Taylor, Josef Blythe and Dylan Goodward.

Top tackler went to Lewis Jackson who tried hard and special effort to Fynnley Wilson who insisted on playing despite illness. Jacob Mort-Firth also revelled in the conditions.
