Old Bank final has double on track

OLD Bank WMC maintained their hopes of winning a Wakefield League double after they reached the final of the Division Two Cup with a terrific 5-1 victory over promotion rivals College last Saturday.

Bank will play the winners of Wortley Reserves or Division Two leaders Plough in the final, with a date and venue to be decided.

Old Bank trail Plough by 14 points but they have four games in hand.

Woodman recorded a 3-0 victory over relegation threatened Battyeford in the Premier Division.

Defeat leaves Battyeford second-bottom, six points clear of Dewsbury Rangers and just one behind Kingstone United WMC with a game in hand.

Rangers appear destined to be relegated with four matches remaining.

Blane bagged a brace and Goodall one for Woodman, who remain seventh but have closed the gap on Thornhill to a point after they battled out an entertaining 3-3 draw at home to Rose and Crown Darton.

Craig Thomas scored a consolation goal as Dewsbury Rangers Reserves lost 4-1 to Featherstone Colliery in Division Three.
