Thornhill Trojans recorded a second straight win in National Conference Division Three defeating Eastmoor Dragons 44-6 last Saturday.

Thornhill made light work of their Wakefield opponents, running in 22 points in each half.

Ben Kendall was in fantastic form as he went on several rampaging runs to make good ground for the Trojans.

However, it was the breakaway tries from man of the match Richard Bostock and winger Adam Bird which proved to be the telling points in this game.

Thornhill led after just three minutes when Bird gathered an Eastmoor kick and stormed 80 meters to score. Joel Gibson converted.

Scott Green weaved his way to the line and then chipped over and regathered to register a quick fire brace of tries, which Gibson converted.

Thornhill turned the screw when Danny Ratcliffe sent a perfectly weighted pass for Sam Ratcliffe to dive over for an unconverted try.

Coach James Ratcliffe demanded better execution from his players and Bostock broke clear and handed off a tackler on a powerful run to the line. Gibson converted.

Thornhill complacency allowed Eastmoor to reply as stand off Danny Johnson chipped over and collected to score. James Slater converted.

Thornhill ensured there would be no fight back as Bostock broke and left a trail of Eastmoor bodies in his path as he powered over for a try. Gibson converted.

The only major concern for Thornhill was a leg injury sustained by Tom Ripley late in the game, which ended his involvement.

Thornhill scored two further tries in the closing stages.

The penultimate try was another long rage effort from winger Bird, who raced more than half the length of the field up the slope, taking play inside and then out for a try which Gibson converted.

Gibson broke free in the final minute and ball was moved along the line to put Jake Hickling over for an unconverted try in the corner and seal an impressive away win.
