The Simpsons look set to win a record-equalling seventh consecutive Dewsbury Table Tennis League title.

The record was set by Headfield in the 1970s and The Simpsons need just a point from their final two games to win the title and equal that feat

They were made to pull out all the stops to win their latest match 6-4 at fourth-placed Battyeford.

The battle for second place is close with four teams still in with a chance. Aardvarks B, Aardvarks A, Battyeford and the Cuckoos all have games left so it is set to go down to the wire.
