Lee Sykes scored the only goal of the game as George Healey secured a 1-0 victory over Athletico in the Spen Valley Memorial Trophy last Saturday.

Victory leaves George joint top of Group C with Dewsbury West Side, who claimed a second straight win as they defeated Inter Batley 2-0 with goals from Ahmedullah Bham and Jamil Sair.

Norfolk claimed their first win in three Group A games as they overcame Savile Town 8-5.

Eugene Ogorado bagged a hat-trick and Sufyan Hafiz a brace, while Imran Farooq and Said Said were also among the Norfolk scorers.

Zubair Hussain (two), Sajeel Qadir, Shakeel Pandor and Waqar Bashir all netted for Savile Town.

Girlington are top of Group A after they defeated Savile Youth 5-1.

Adeeb Jawab (two), Abdul Tanvir, Umar Zahoor and Danyal Dar were the Girlington scorers, while Abdullah Aswat hit Savile Youth’s consolation goal.

Savile Youth picked up their first win of the competition, defeating Dewsbury West Side Reserves 4-1 with goals from Danyal Pandor, Shuaib Sadiq Patel, Abdul Karim Mahmood and Ismail Patel.

Palestino have won both their matches in Group B and are top on goal difference after they thrashed Howden Clough 11-2.

Zain Mushtaq bagged six goals and Zubair Khan fired a hat-trick, while Micah Bleau and Abdul Quyum were also among the Palestino goal scorers.

Shane Thornton and Jack Scott replied with Clough’s consolation goals.
