Trojans’ Gibson scoops National Conference League awards

Joel Gibson of Thornhill Trojans picked up two awards at last Saturday’s Kingstone Press National Conference League Presentation Evening at The Hilton Hotel, Leeds.

Gibson was named as 2015 National Conference League Division Three player of the year and also picked up the award for the most points scored by a player in the whole of the National Conference League.

Gibson racked up 307 points made up of 32 tries and 89 goals as he helped Thornhill clinch promotion.

The Trojans first team will be bidding to reach the Yorkshire Cup semi-finals on Saturday when they travel to old rivals Sharlston Rovers (kick off 2pm).

On Saturday evening the club hold their annual presentation when first team, A team and club awards will be handed out.

The evening starts at 7pm and there will be food and live entertainment.
