BUDDING young cricketers were given some expert coaching during the half-term holiday when the Pro Cricket Academy held a free two-day course at Woodlands CC.

Coaches Mark Gilliver and Chris Marsden were on hand to offer expert tips to around 20 children who attended the course.

Pro Cricket Coaching Academy founder Andrew Gale is currently on tour in the West Indies with England Lions and his blog, along with full coaching course details are available by visiting www.procricketcoachingacademy.com.

Gale made 27 as England were bowled out for 373 and then dismissed the hosts for 328 in the first innings.

Gale then made 48 in England’s second innings of 256-7 declared before they restricted the Colleges to 204-7 as the match ended in a draw.

n Gale’s business partner Chris Taylor and two colleagues will open and run a new cricket shop in St Michael’s Lane, near the Headingley ground.

The All Rounder Cricket store, opens this Saturday (March 12) and will sell a wide range of cricket equipment and the shopworkers will all be current or ex professional cricketers.
