Boogie down for charity

Chart hits of the 1970s and 1980s are set to fill the dancefloor at a charity event.

Radio Heatwave DJ Pete Forsyth is to take to the wheels of steel at Victoria Function Room, Bradford Road, Batley, on Sunday, in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Centre.

And singer Kevin Kendricks will entertain with Motown and swing numbers.

The event starts at 8pm with all proceeds going to the charity, which provides specialist medical equipment, research and development, and home comforts for up to 1,500 patients a day. Ring 01924 440217.
