Concert stars Scottish symphony

The wild Highlands of Scotland were the inspiration for a piece set to be performed by the Orchestra of Opera North at Dewsbury Town Hall.

Felix Mendelssohn’s ‘Scottish’ Symphony (no.3) will be brought to life by conductor Andrew Gourlay, Gramophone magazine’s one to watch in 2010.

The concert is on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £7-£19 with concessions.

There will be a Talking Music event before the performance at 6.40pm.
