Fifties bus will run its old route for open day
Organiser Tony Salmon said the star of the show will be a Crossley double-decker bus that ran the Dewsbury-Mirfield route from 1955-1967.
“The museum is a labour of love. The purpose of the charity is to preserve an important part of our history,” he said.

“As well bus enthusiasts we are aiming this event at families. People are realising it is quite a cheap day out to take the children to.”
The museum in Foundry Street, Ravensthorpe will be open on Sunday, 10.30am-4.30pm. Entry is £3 for adults, including a 24-page programme, and free for children.
Another event will be held in August at The Mill in Batley.
