The weekend in September gives art lovers the chance to see artists at work and take a glimpse inside their studios.

The Taste of HOST exhibition at Creative Arts Hub’s Mirfield base includes work by Maggie Thompson, Judy Tadman, Richard Yeomans and Number Zwei alongside pictures from artists’ studios in Kirklees.

It is the first event open to the public since the former nightclub in Huddersfield Road was transformed into a gallery and studios.

Artistic director Mark Milnes said: “It’s great to see the space looking as I envisaged it all those months ago, and to know that it works well as an exhibition venue.

“I think that Creative Arts Hub will prove to be a really strong addition to the cultural life of North Kirklees.”
