Starting on Saturday (October 26) from 10am to 4pm children can enjoy face painting and crafts. At 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm there will be Harry Potter and Hagrid shows, and at 1pm there is a spooky walk to the library for Halloween stories and more spooky crafts.

Heckmondwike

On Tuesday from 10am to 3pm there is free face painting and a spooky band in the market. At 2pm a spooky walk in fancy dress takes place, starting at the market and ending at the library with crafts, stories and prizes for the best costume.

On Wednesday October 30 at 11.45am Dewsbury Market hosts a Trick or Treat trail around the market setting off from the gates next to the fresh fish stalls. The trail is open to children aged eight and under, wearing fancy dress. At 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm there will be Harry Potter and Hagrid shows, then at 2pm take a spooky walk to the library for Halloween stories and crafts.

Birstall

On Halloween itself Birstall market stages face painting and magic between 10am-3pm, with crafts in the library from 10am-4pm and a scary story time in the library at 2.30pm.

Batley

Between 10am-4pm on Friday November 1 children can take part in bonfire themed crafts in the library, with story time at 2.30pm and face painting, balloons and crafts from 10.30am to 3pm at the market.
