The event is being hosted by Mirfield Town Council and host side Wakefield Morris Dancers.

The dance locations are the Old Colonial, Pear Tree, Airedale Heifer, Flower Pot and Ship Inn pubs and the library. A trophy will be awarded to the most popular side at the Old Colonial.

Morris dancing is based on rhythmic stepping and the execution of choreographed figures by a group of dancers, usually wearing bell pads on their shins.
