SAS writer to give talk at town hall

SAS soldier turned author Chris Ryan will be visiting Huddersfield Town Hall to talk about his new book Masters of War.

Chris, who joined the SAS in 1984, will speak about his time in the service, when, days after the outbreak of the last Gulf War, he and seven other soldiers were dropped into the Iraqi desert to locate and destroy Saddam Hussein’s mobile Scud missile launches. It ended in catastrophic failure with three dead and four caught and tortured by Iraqis.

Chris appears at the town hall on August 28. Tickets are £2-£3 from 01484 223200.
