New Picture House co-director Andy Carlos said: “We are thrilled to be able to bring people this film – especially on Oscar night. The film is currently on release in the UK, and it’s thanks to our friends at the British Federation of Film Societies that we’re able to show it.”

The season continues with True Grit (15) on March 8, Berberian Sound Studio (15) on March 22 and a members’ choice on Sunday March 24.

Tickets are £4 (conc. £3) from www.newpicturehouse.com or the cinema in Yorkshire House, South Street, on film nights. Films start at 7.30pm.
