Spring Rain: Becky Beasley – In this exhibition, British artist Becky Beasley explores relationships between photography and objects, the body and literature. The title of the exhibition is taken from a short story by Jewish American writer Bernard Malamud (1914-1986). A minimal tale of the ambiguities of everyday human relations, of things unsaid or unsayable, the story opens onto concerns that lie at the heart of Beasley’s practice.
Leeds City Museum:
Through the Magic Mirror – An exciting free exhibition, specially designed for children, bringing Anthony Browne’s picture book world to life. Step through the magic mirror and say hello to characters including Willy the Wimp. Enter Anthony’s family home and meet My Mum and My Dad; walk through the back yard from Changes, stroll in the park or visit the life-size Gorilla in the zoo. Explore the forest where Hansel and Gretel, Me and You, Bear Hunt and The Tunnel can be found.
