The members of the Russian State Dance Ensemble of Astrakhan come from backgrounds as diverse as ballet, orchestral music and choir music, but deliver a unique insight into Russian folklore.

The group’s 70 performers – dancers, singers and musicians – will be taking their show, Russian Cossacks, to the Victoria Theatre in Halifax on March 26.

Having performed as far and wide as Russia, Greece and Germany, the Cossacks are appearing across the UK throughout March and April.

Their show promises to give an insight into Russia’s rural traditions and delve deep into Russian life and history.

The Cossacks are coming to West Yorkshire thanks to Amande Concerts. For more information on the show, visit www.bookballet.co.uk.
