Families can enjoy a full day of fun at Mirfield’s annual Christmas lights switch on next month.
My Mirfield has clubbed together with Mirfield Town Council, to organise the event which will take place in and around the town centre, on Saturday, November 29.
There will be a festive food and craft fair around Mirfield Library and the Co-operative supermarket car park, just off Huddersfield Road.
It will run from 2pm until 8pm and feature stalls selling Christmas gifts and decorations.
There will also be rides at a fun fair which will run from noon until 10pm.
The lights in and around the town centre will be switch on at 6pm.
There will also be live entertainment on a stage in the car park behind the library.
Shows and live music will begin at 4pm and run through until around 8pm.
Father Christmas will also make a visit to the event at around 5.30pm.
Shops in and around the town centre are also being encouraged to join in the event.
There will be a competition for the best dressed festive window.
Organisers would also like to hear from any school choirs, singers, bands, dance groups or community groups who would like to take part in the event.
Businesses or charities can also request a stall on the craft market by getting in contact with the event organisers.
