HISTORY buffs can bag themselves a bargain with an annual ticket giving unlimited access to Oakwell Hall and Red House Museums.
Visitors already have to pay £2.50 for Oakwell in Birstall, and the same fee will apply when Red House introduces charges from June 1.
However anyone buying an annual ticket for £6 can visit both as many times as they like in a year. Family tickets (two adults and up to four children), are also available for £14.50, and an annual children’s ticket is £2.50. Kirklees Passport holders get a 50 per cent discount.
Both historic houses have fine gardens and offer a wealth of interest for those wishing to learn more about the history of the area, and both sites have links with the Brontës.
The annual ticket can be bought at either of the museum shops and will give free entry for a year from the date of purchase.
