Set in the sixties, in a mother and baby home in the North of England, the play follows Mary, unmarried and seven months pregnant.

Taken to the home by her mother, Mary and three other girls in the home, has to cope with the shame and the dawning realisation that she will have to give her baby up for adoption.

The play is based on fact – such homes existed in the 1960s but are not often spoke n about.

Dewsbury Arts Group will be performing Be my Baby from Saturday October 3 to October 10 (excluding Sunday), starting 7.30pm.

Ticket reservations can be made by calling 01924 465647.
