Asda’s charity challenge

Asda stores across Yorkshire have raised almost £750,000 for charities and community organisations.

The supermarket’s Community Life project has been running for 12 months, with £747,417 raised for good causes so far.

The scheme asks shoppers to choose from three charities or local clubs and the cause with the most votes recieves £200.

The Reporter Series Fund is currently one of three charities nominated at the Dewsbury store.

Shoppers can vote with their green tokens – handed out at the checkout – until April 30.
