Former Whitcliffe Mount pupil Ashley Davies is looking forward to a military career following his army Passing Out Parade.
Watched by his proud family Crafstman Davies REME, who was Best Junior Soldier in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers while training at Harrogate Army Foundation College, will now progress to Phase Two of his training.
During the parade he received the award from senior British Army dignitaries in front of over 3,500 spectators.
Ashley and his family then attended a special prize winners’ reception.
He will now join the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to learn his chosen trade as a vehicle mechanic.
