Wilfred Museka, a Zimbabwean asylum seeker who lives in Clayton, pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester on Monday.

Hundreds of people attended Rebecca’s funeral last month. During the service, her father, Tim Caine, said she could charm a pauper or a prince.

He said: “Nothing will ever fill the emptiness we now feel and the tragedy of her loss.

“The world has lost a beautiful shining light.”

Rebecca’s family now hopes to set up a foundation to help aspiring young models get onto the modelling ladder in her memory.

Museka, 31, of Powell Street, will be sentenced for causing death by dangerous driving at the court on November 13.

He was remanded into custody.
