Batley pupils mark International Day 2016
Year seven students from Batley Girls’ High School were joined by year six girls from one of their primary partners, Warwick Road Primary School.
The pupils were treated to a day full of internationally-themed activities and workshops.

Hide AdThe modern languages department was transformed into a Swiss dining room and students feasted on the traditional melted cheese and other specialities from the region.
Other activities saw the food rooms come alive with the smells and sounds of the Mediterranean.
Students were also treated to a cooking masterclass, a Flamenco Dance workshop, a French comic play and African drumming.
Emma Hodgson, Head of Modern Foreign Languages at the school, was delighted with the event.
She said: “There was a real buzz around school.

Hide Ad“All students worked and played hard throughout the day, with a palpable sense of purpose, fun and enjoyment.
“It was a wonderful reminder of the value of learning outside of the classroom and away from traditional teaching methods.”
