Hide AdBailey, who was diagnosed with epilepsy aged two, was taken to hospital on May 27 last year after suffering several fits. He was put on a ventilator but at 5.25pm his heart stopped beating. Doctors tried in vain to resuscitate him for 30 minutes.
The Crown Prosecution Service told the family although it was clear Bailey’s death was caused by the overdose, there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.
