PONDEROSA has suffered two break-ins this week.
Owner Howard Cook said he was alerted in the early hours of Sunday morning by police, who said the Lakeside Restaurant had been broken into.
Thieves stole drinks from the restaurant, which is in the grounds of Ponderosa Rural Therapeutic Centre, Smithies Lane, Heckmondwike.
Then on Wednesday night the window of Ponderosa’s town centre shop was smashed as well as the doors and window at the Egg Box next door in Market Place.
The shop provides information about projects Ponderosa runs with disabled and disadvantaged young people.
Mr Cook said he and staff were devastated about the break-ins.
A police spokesman said enquiries were ongoing.
