Breaking news: Baby death couple to be charged
A couple arrested over the death of a four month old baby girl are to be charged with manslaughter and familial homicide.
Lucy Damen, 19, and Daniel Sheard, 21, will appear at Leeds Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Sarah Nelson, Crown advocate with CPS Yorkshire and Humberside, said: “I have carefully reviewed the evidence gathered by West Yorkshire Police and I have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and that it is in the public interest to prosecute Lucy Damen and Daniel Sheard with offences of manslaughter and familial homicide.”
