BREAKING NEWS: Dozens of plaques stolen from Mirfield church grounds
The plaques were taken overnight on Friday and found missing on Saturday morning.
It is believed that only the oldest plaques were taken, as they are made of a purer, more valuable metal.

Hide AdA 26-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon and released on bail. A 37-year-old man was arrested today and remains in police custody.
The plaques were taken from St Mary’s Church in Mirfield.
Barry Dews from Mirfield Team Parish said: “Whoever did this is the lowest of the low.”
Insp Jenny Thompson added: “The theft of metal is a serious crime wherever it happens, but this theft of so many memorial plaques is a particularly despicable crime.”
