A BURGLARY victim has put up a reward for information after valuable jewellery was stolen.
Thieves broke into the house in Station Lane, Birkenshaw, and stole more than 500 pieces of jewellery worth tens of thousands of pounds..
Police said the thieves had taken every item of jewellery in the house, including watches, brooches and rings, including a vintage ring, pictured right.
They also made off with a safe and a Peugeot Expert van in the raid, which happened at about 9pm on October 31.
The jewellery had been in the owners’ families for decades and was of great sentimental value.
Police said the owner was particularly keen to recover two 18ct gold rings. One is size N, with a 1.2ct diamond and two 0.91ct champagne diamonds either side. The second is rose gold, size O, with a large purple tanzanite stone surrounded by 12 cubic zirconia stones and diamond shaped shoulders.
A man has been arrested. The owner is putting up a reward for information leading to the successful conviction of those involved in the burglary.
