An award-winning Cleckheaton firm has celebrated its 20th anniversary this week.
LSi, which is based on Snelsins Road, marked the date on November 24.
The company sells promotional merchandise and corporate clothing and has been in four different offices in the area during its two decades of operation, but has remained true to its Cleckheaton roots throughout that period.
Set up in 1994 by Lloyd Simpson, LSi is now thought to be one of the biggest companies of its kind in the UK.
It currently employs 32 staff on its premises at Braemar House in the town, where they have been since 2013 and was recently voted the Kirklees Business of the Year 2014.
It also claimed success in scooping the promotions industry’s most prestigious award, Distributor of the Year, for the second consecutive year back in January.
Staff at the company celebrated the milestone birthday with decorations round the office, a bottle of champagne and an extended lunch out in town.
Mr Simpson, the company’s managing director, said: “Guiding LSi to our 20th anniversary and winning such prestigious awards in such difficult trading conditions is an achievement I am extremely proud of.
“But without all the LSi staff members, past and present, playing their own vital part and working together we would not be the company we are today.
“A massive thanks to all our staff, customers and suppliers for their continued support.”
Intriguingly, the company has a mention in the Guinness Book of Records, after football freestyle professional John Farnworth completed 590 head rolls with a football at the company’s Promo Gift Show event, in 2010.
The show had been put on to celebrate the World Cup.
